I can't believe that we are already in 2013, time flies. Thank you all for following the blog, as always, we love reading your comments. Sometimes we are late in replying but don't think that we don't value your input on the posts, because that's what it's all about.
We have some exciting changes coming up on our blog this year. Although our blog does not have a target age, in the past we have tried to feature posts on younger hijabis in order to promote hijab. This year in addition we will inshallah feature some children's fiction. Most of you know my daughter Janna, who is an aspiring writer. She writes children's fiction and we will feature her work on the blog. Although it's children's fiction, adults will enjoy reading her short essays as well.
We will also have a new section for Fashion Theory. As most of you know, I have recently returned back to academia and am working on publishing articles in the field of fashion studies, and of course my specialization is hijab fashion which includes discrimination against hijab, hijab fashion theory, as well as other subtitles. I know that several of you requested that I share my papers on the blog, which I plan on doing inshallah!
Alhamdulillah, I remember when we first started the blog with just a few followers and now have come to where it is today. As we have grown to add two more wonderful contributors, we are excited to share more great posts with you this coming year. We also welcome posts from our HijabiTopia followers, on fashion, style, hijab, or any other topic we discuss on the blog.
